Firmware upgrade failed

attempt to upgrade to the lastest firmware failed.
now unable to access to NAS.
Anyway to rollback or resolve issue?
Don’t seem to find any solution here…

try the reset with power on and power off method but this getting the red led saying firmware update failed.
Is there really now way out of this unit except to replace the unit?

I recommend you contact WD support for assistance with this.

I did, and last thing they told me I will need a new NAS!!!
that is after the attempts to reset using the 2 different methods they had.
Also they recommended me to do the direct IP communication but it fails.
I am not sure whether they understand my issue and the case ID is stated as
Case # [[DELETED]] _
_ Date June 9, 2016 _
_ Subject Not able access to NAS

and that is not indicating the actual issue… shouldn’t it indicate as “firmware upgrade failed”
communications between me and support was bad due to the phone line… I could hardly hear what they are saying, even my phone vol was set to max.

Sad isn’t it when upgrading the firmware can be that costly…

I am attempting to communicate with the EX4 using the IP address, but funny thing is … the IP address displayed kept changing when I type in the IP in my PC browser.
Is this normal…?
