Harddrive WD2500KS

Ich habe eine WD2500KS Festplatte in einem ICY Gehäuse und nutze diese als externen Speicher. Letzte Woche habe ich ein System Backup meines Laptops gemacht. Dabei erschien die Meldung DAtenträger wird formatiert. Seit diesem Zeitpunkt sehe ich nur noch 31GB als Grösse der Platte, trotz anschliessendem formatieren der WD 2500KS Platte.

I am using a harddrive WD2500KS harddrive as external Memory. Last week I did a Windows 11 system backup. When I started the backup a window showed, formating drive. Since the backup the drive shows 31GB only. Is there any hidden drive partition? Also after formating the drive the size is 31GB not 250GB as before the backup procedure. Who has any idea? This issue likely occurred due to partition changes during formatting. To resolve this, you should check Disk Management for any hidden partitions, use diskpart to list partitions, and you can also consider using partition management software. you can also run chkdsk and update the firmware.

Hi,

thank you. In the meanwhile I found a hidden partition. With windows tool I deleted the partition, now I can see the whole size of the drive.
