HELP! :'( My Computer Won't Recognize My WD2500JB Caviar SE

The drive is from 2008 and I had set it aside but need to use it now. The problem is that I can’t get my computer (2 different ones, actually) to recognize it at all. I’ve tried different cables and different ports and I’ve looked for a driver, but I can’t find anything that’s relevant enough to solve the problem :frowning: I need the information on the drive and am hoping someone can help me.

I have Win 7 by the way and I tried looking for it in disk management already. There is nothing there. Can anyone help me? :frowning:

Seems that the unit failed

to get the data out of the drive you’ll need data recovery

some users have been able to replace exchanging then PC but this process is intricate and needs proper handling
