How setup my smartware backup

Hi everybody

first thanks a lot to take time for read my post, second sorry for my poor English, it’s not my maternal language.

Well, I’m taking backup every month of my computer. Some of my data are archive type . For example picture of my family since more than 15 years. I don’t made changes to this location. Some of my data have many structural folder change, same as rename, move, rename again…I keep the original file as master and work with copy. During my process, a file can have many revision, always with copy and I keep the previous version. At the end of my project, I just need to keep the master and latest revision.

I setup my software to keep 5 version. But the space use grow rapidly because rename folder, structure , etc. How can I setup smartware to delete file on external drive if this file are not present on my computer ? Do I need to put 0 version ?

Hello, from the Smartware setup menu you can reduce the number of versions per file. Smartware doesn’t have the option to delete the files that are already backed up, but you can manually explore the smartware.swstor folder on the external hard drive and delete the files that you don’t want.
