Samba config file has several houndred options. There is a reason why somebody bothered to program and document those options.
My equipment does not work with the EX2 and I need to make few changes to the smb.conf that stick.
How can I do this?

If you look at this post of mine, you’ll see ways to make changes to smb.conf take effect without requiring firmware manipulation…though changes will be lost on reboot…but I think this is an easier approach than trying to figure things out in firmware. http://community.wd.com/t5/WD-My-Cloud-EX2/Hacks-to-make-Public-share-and-USB-shares-private/td-p/728740
