How to recreate drive configuration?

Dear all,

I have performed a “Scan Disk” on my WD EX 4100.

I then received the message that Volume_1 failed and “Be patient as the WD My Cloud EX4100 device updates your system.”
After that, I found this message in the system log:
“File System Check Failed
File system check has detected errors on your drive configuration. Backup your data and recreate the drive configuration to resolve these errors.”

My question for you is: how do I do that?
How do I “recreate the drive configuration” ?
(Is the RAID configuration meant here?)

Would that erase the data on my RAID?

Some more info:
I have also performed “Disk Test” : “Full Test”, which revealed no errors.
I have also performed a “System Test”, which gets all green check marks.
The OS version of my WD is 5.28.105 .
On the home page, the “Diagnostics” button says “healthy” and both “Drive status” and “RAID status” are marked as “healthy”.

I have checked the manual , and the searched the web, to no avail.
No hint how to recreate the drive config.

I will be very grateful for any kinds of hints and advise.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Best regards, Gabriel

Thanks a lot for your response.

Yes, I have opened a support case. The answer was: I should do a full restore.

Which means I have to copy all my data (some 5 TB) to some other disk (I have to buy that first).
Then do the full restore, then copy everything back.

You should definitely back up all the data to another drive before you attempt anything.

If you’re still able to access the Dashboard, you can go to Settings/Utilities and then scroll down to System Configuration and download the file. This will save all of your settings.

Then you can reset/rebuild/reinstall or whatever you need to do to get it back up and running. Then restore the configuration and verify it is as it was before and there are no more errors in the logs. Then restore the data.
