How to "resync" the sync?

Situation
I have a problem, that quite a few pictures are missing on my My Cloud. I have deleted some “stuck activities” on my Android, that were processing for weeks.

Question
Is there a way to restart the sync process, so that the App and the MyCloud do a new sync
in order to transfer the missing pictures?

@Flat

Have you looked at Chapter Four in the User Manual?

https://support.wdc.com/product.aspx?ID=904&lang=en

What android device do you have?

Chapter Four handles the sync with Win or iOS Desktops,

I have problems with the MyCloud-App on my Android (OnePlus 3T with Android 8.0.0)
not syncing all the pictures onto the My Cloud.

@Flat Have you checked the Settings in the My Cloud App? See example images below. Click on, tap or activate images to enlarge them.

It looks almost the same here, wich setting is causing the problem in your oppinion?
I don’t see the hint, that you are giving me.

@Flat There are no hints. You have to set yours up the way you want it including the Back up option shown in the second photo.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and my My Cloud app is set to back up my photos and videos to my Public folder and gmail account. This is done when I am connected to wifi.

@Flat did you find a solution? I have the same issue… several syncs “stuck” in the in progress state, and many photos missing from my backups. From experimenting, it seems to happen if I loose wifi part way through a sync. That particular sync never resumes or restarts.
And I dont see a way to find out which photos were being backed up during that sync.
SO looking for a way to restart those that got stuck, or identify the photos in those stuck syncs so I can do them manually… or run a check to find those missing in the backup.

@suea32, no I did not find a automated solution. I copyed the missing files manually into the cloud.

:frowning:ok thanks for letting me know, I guess I will do the same
