OK thanks I will take a look at that and stop using it, but I still need to find the answer to why some files are not showing up, when I look at the Wd mycloud on the network.
Have you searched the Knowledge Base? There should be several discussions about this depending on your problem.
If you are saying, as an example, that you can only see A-H files and the others are missing you may need to change browsers. You can try resizing and see what happens. Instead of having a 100% view change to 70% and see what happens.
More information on your issue is needed. Are you attempting to view the files using a web browser using the MyCloud.com web portal? Are you trying to view the files using Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder? Is this a local network My Cloud or a remote network My Cloud?
I’m on my local network to view the files and smartware says they have been backed up but when I look through the pc and the wd on the network, all the previous files but these new ones are not there. Using Windows 10
I see people are saying Smartware does not support windows 10 and wd say use MiniTool ShadowMaker but I’ve not tried this yet.
Hi
Not sure what you mean by A-H files, I’m searching and it seems to be saying smartware is replaced buy MiniTool ShadowMaker but still looking into this. But all I want to achieve is to make sure my wd mycloud is backing up all the music pictures etc from my pc
Check the Smartware program where it should indicate the backup destination on the MY Cloud. Then check that destination folder to see if it contains the files you are expecting to find.
If OS5 removed the Smartware Share and the Smartware program was still using that Share as a backup destination then it will likely fail to backup since the destination Share is no longer there. If this is the case, change the Smartware backup destination location to another Share and see if Smartware will backup properly to that new destination Share.
There are any number of paid and free backup software programs one can use to backup their computer to the My Cloud if Smartware isn’t working properly. Some examples of free and paid backup programs:
Macrium Reflect (free): https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree
EaseUS ToDo Backup (free): https://www.easeus.com/backup-software/tb-free.html
Paragon Backup & Recovery (free): https://www.paragon-software.com/free/br-free/
Clonezilla (free): http://clonezilla.org/
Free File Sync (free): https://freefilesync.org/
Acronis True Image (paid): https://www.acronis.com/en-us/products/true-image/
@Bige
See the image below for the problem I am talking about. I know it happens with OS3, not for sure about OS5. After signing in on the internet and getting to your files you may only be able to scroll down so far. That is what I mean by A-H. Changing the Zoom setting or using a different browser usually solved the problem. Click on, tap or activate image to enlarge it.
Thanks I think the reason is that Smartware has been replaced with Goodsync
Smarware is no longer supported and has been replaced with goodsync
It is WD Sync that has been replaced by the third party GoodSync program. See WD Sync End of Support. Smartware is not supported on OS5. But will continue to work on OS3 even though the Smartware program is End of Support. The following WD Knowledgebase Article on Smartware suggests alternative backup utilities.

Windows Backup, Apple Time Machnine or Acronis True Image for Western Digital or an alternate 3rd party backup utility can be used instead.
Thanks for your replies they have been of great assistance, I do not get a lot of time to look at these things what with work and everything.
Hello cat0w, what is the program you are using in this image as it look very clear and easy to read.
I use Snip & Sketch to capture images.
I am backing up now with Windows Backup (File History) See image below. I have Windows 10 Pro with all updates.
