If I connect a HDD to the WDTV SMP, will it be shared so another WDTV SMP can see it elsewhere?

Hi all,

I have a WDTV SMP in the basement where I watch most of my movies.  If I buy a second one for the bedroom upstairs and its connected to the same network, will it see the HDD in the basement connected to that WDTV SMP as a Network Share or does it have to be connected to a desktop PC/Server?

Hello, 

Yes, as long as both WDTV’s are part of the same network, they should be able to see each other and access the connected USB hard drives as network shares.
