Bien cordialement,

Ugo.

What colour is the front panel LED?

Has your router changed the allocated IP address for the MyCloud?
Access the router’s control panel, find the list of allocated IP addresses, and use the IP address to access the Dashboard. e.g 192.168.1.32/UI

If you had the MyCloud set to a static IP address, a 4-second reset will switch it back to DHCP (and remove the admin password). If you then reset the router, it should allocate a new DHCP IP address. If you reboot your PC/Mac, it should pickup the new name/IP translation.

If your router has decided you haven’t used you MyCloud for a while, it may have removed it from its list of devices, and given away the previous DHCP IP address. In future, you can use your router’s control interface to set an infinite lease time on the allocated IP address (or some similar words, maybe ‘always use this address’).

Hi,

Thanks for the answer. The front panel LED is constant blue.

I accessed to my router and it seems that the MyCloud has a DHCP address. Should I still try to do a 4-second reset ?

Would it solve the problem ? Will it also allow the access to the MyCloud from the “shared disks” section on my mac ?

Regards

Have you tried to access the device using the IP address you have found?

Enter either the name (or IP Address) of the My Cloud device into the URL field of the web browser. For example:
Windows: http://wdmycloud/
Mac OSX: http://wdmycloud.local/

Can you remember if you set your device to a static address, or left it as DHCP? A 4-second reset shouldn’t cause problems.

I don’t know, because I don’t know what the cause of the problem is… It might…

Hi,

I tried to connect to the My Cloud with the WD My Cloud App on my MacBook Pro and it worked. So for the moment I can access to my data, upload and download files.

But I still can’t access the http://wdmycloud.local/ website… It means that I can’t change the parameters of the My Cloud.

Do you have any idea of something to try to access the website ?

I tried with my PC to access the WD local website and it worked. So there is a specific problem with the access from my Mac…

I’m not sure if it’s significant, as I don’t have a Mac, but the quick start guide doesn’t have the trailing slash in the Dashboard address:

http://wdmycloud.local

It still doesn’t work… Thanks for your help anyway !

As above, have you tried using the IP address…?

Yes and it’s the same problem. The page doesn’t load

Do you have a firewall running on your Mac?

Have you tried the 4-second reset?
