Info about WD Live SMP

Hi folks. I have been using my WD Live SMP for some time now, and am looking to get into some of the more advanced features. Is there a guide explaining the media library features and custom themes that I can read up on?

I have about 9TB of disk on my PC (3x 3TB) and it is all shared on my network. The media files are all in folders, mostly neat and tidy (renamed, all extra files stripped out, etc).

I want to get the most out of the WD Live SMP. I would like to do things like show thumbnails and meta-data about the files, but I would prefer not sticking messy .XML files or whatever it uses in the folders. Is there a way I can store all of the meta-data in one place?

Nope…  Metadata is stored alongside the videos.

you can possibly try putting a . in front of the file and if you have your computer setup to not show hidden files and folders this may work I know in the beginning putting a . in front of the JPG thumbnail would hide this on computers and the old WD live plus would still show it. when I generate thumbs even today I use the . before the name of the thumb which hides them on my computer when I have don’t show hidden files checked. My live hub and SMP will still view themI do not know if this will work with an XML file. It’s very simple to do and give it a try other than this it is the only remote solution to your question
