iSCSI target volumes disappeared

I have both an EX2 (2x2TB) and an EX4100 (4x6TB) that were configured with iSCSI target volumes. These were rarely monitored volume extensions for rarely used old computers. It would appear that sometime around the time of the last FW update (May2018) that the iSCSI targets disappeared from both devices. Both report that no iSCSI targets are configured. The more unfortunate thing is that the disk space assigned to each remains consumed and unavailable for recreation of the targets. Any clues how to either regain the targets or the disk space?
