Hi,
Switching on my mac, I am unable to see my MBL. Sometimes, by shutting down my router for 30 seconds and powering back up again, my mac suddenly sees the MBL again. During this time, my mac will see the MBL for a while, but then suddenly it wont see the MBL anymore. There is no MyBookLive entry in the Bonjour window. However, when I open up the router page, I can ping the MyBookLive without any problems, and I am still able to stream data from the MBL to my ipad and android devices. However, by not being able to see the MBL on the mac, I cannot copy to it etc. (If I have opened up a window connecting to MBL at the start of the session, I am still able to copy to it, but I cannot reconnect a new finder window to it)
Shutting down the router and restarting it sometimes will allow the mac to see the MBL again. But this is driving me nuts. I don’t think I should need to shutdown and restart my router for a mac session to see the MBL.
Now, having stated the above, it needs to be said that I never had this problem before. We went on holiday, and I switched off my modem and routers for a two week period. Coming back and switching things on again, I am seeing this behavior now.
This is my setup:
Internet to Router1.
Cable from lan port on Router1 to Wan port on Router2.
MBL connected on lan port of Router2.
As I have mentioned there was a perfect working period, before the 2 weeks downtime, and by restarting the services, I am encountering this issue.
Any thoughts or ideas as to why my mac will see the MLB and then loses it suddenly in the same session is appreciated.
Cheers
Stephan
