Mac Software compatibility

I just bought My Cloud, looks great.

I am having a issue though with some apple application.

Some apps like Numbers use a package format to save files, My Cloud do not understand that and saves it as directories, making in imposible to be open from another machine or the same machine remotely.

Is there any patch for that?

Mobile application also sufer with that, they can not open a “whatever.numbers” file, because is presented by my cloud as directories.

What I am seeing is My Cloud application is not compatible with Apple aplication yet.

If I am wrong could you let me know what is the patch or workaround?

Thanks

It will be sad but I will to return the product for this issue since I can not open the files :frowning: .

Hi. I recognize your problem.

Same here when using the WD My Cloud desktop app.

But, if you login using the finder ( (locally) or the chrome / firefox browser (remotely) through https://www.wd2go.com,

you can use the normal finder-windows. And find that the iWorks files are stored normally.

Good luck.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply DoubleUK.

I have no problem to use it with my Mac Book, my real problem is using ipad and iphone, I can not open the file in numbers because it is shown as a directory :frowning:

have tried accessing thru the web as you mention but I was having a Java message and couldn’t see the files.

Hope some one has an answer for it.

Thanks for your help
