MBWE II (white light) - Errors while trying to connect via SMB, GUI etc

Hi

I have a MBWE II (white light). It has 2 HDs of 2 GB each and it is set up as mirror. It contains a lot of data that I can not loose!

After a power outage, it is misbehaving. Here is what is happening:

  1. There is an error that appears on the WEB GUI

  1. I am able to log in in the WEB GUI

  2. I am able to SSH

  3. The Shared Folders section on my Mac shows the NAS (nas-documents) with a weird icon

  1. Here is what I see when I click on “nas-documents”

  2. Here is the error message I see when I click on the Public share

7) Here is the error when I try to connect via SMB

  1. Here is the storage status screenshot

System logs

There was another power outage during the night. When I woke up in the morning, the light in frotn of it was flashing so I tried to access the WEB GUI and here is what I have now:

I cliked in the Acknowledge and went to see the disk status, here is what I got:

It seems that only one HD is working, I am not really sure.

Questions:

  1. What does “Unassigned” mean in the Volume column?

  2. What does the “Clean Disk” do?

Again: I use the devide on mirror mode and must not loose any data.

Thanks

  1. Unassigned means the hard drive is not part of the RAID volume. It has dropped-off the RAID array.

  2. It will erase the drive and try to merge it back to the RAID (If RAID 1).

Thanks for the response.

I guess the main question before I proceed: Assuming I am using raid 1 (I have confirmed, as you can see in the image below) can this “Clean Disk” procedure harm the data I have in the drive that is assigned?  Reason I ask: I don’t have another storage solution to back up the data that is there before proceeding with the “Clean Disk” procedure.

Thanks

I clicked on the Clean Disk option, it restarted and now it shows this status

What shall I do next?
