I just purchased this product and installed the CD and started running the program. I uploaded the Firmware ASAP before I did anything and nothing works. Was the Firmware update the problem? Can I revert the product to default withwout the Firmware updated? Please help.

Where the **bleep** are the experts here. My wife bought this piece of **bleep** and she called support and the person said she had to call back because he was only a LEVEL 1. Are you kidding me. And that we should call back tomorrow. I must say I’ve never come across such a pain in the butt product. I’m going to comment everywhere I see this product being sold to make sure people don’t by this **bleep**. I see Apple carries this product. Hi, there are a couple of things you can try, like doing a power cycle and connecting the my book Ethernet cable directly to the PC. If that doesn’t work, press the reset button on the back of the my book for 4 seconds. To find the my book on your network you can use wdlink, check the link below for the steps.
I am having the same issues here, no sign of anyone. Alle the solutions to this problem seem to be for PC. No sign of any tech whatsoever. I even filled out the registration survey. If I don’t hear from them anytime soon I will spread out the word not to buy it on every single site that sells it. Such a shame, how can you release a firmware that ****** buggy.

I had the same problem last night level 1 support couldn’t fix put me through to level 2 and they fixed the problem. The level 2 tech was awesome, he showed me how to set my drive up and was very knowledgeable. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours on the phone getting it fixed. It was worth it:)
