Hi Does anyone know if there is an earlier version of the mycloud app for iOS 5? I have a first gen iPad and the highest level of iOS I can go is 5.x and the app requires iOS 6. Any help is appreciated!
There was an earlier version which runs on ios5, but getting a copy and installing it would be the difficult job.
Yeah, WD needs to allow the Apple App Store to provide the older version.
Delivery of older versions is now allowed by Apple, but WD has to “turn that on” in their manifest / options.
Who would I contact to request that? Do you have any suggestions?
Did you get a response? i have ios 5 and that is best the iPad can do. Do you know of any way to access the wd my cloud via Safari without the app?

Unless you can find a way to hack WD’s servers and protocols so they don’t require the JAVA applet then there’s no use on trying.
