MyBookLive Mobile Access for Android and Ipod not working

The following description can be found in the Remote Access>Mobile Access section by navigating in the MBL Admin Page.
“Use the Mobile Access feature to remotely access your photos, music, documents, and videos through an Apple® or Android™ mobile device. You’ll need to install the WD 2go™ and WD Photos™ mobile apps from the Apple App Store™ or Android MarketSM for this purpose.”

I’ve got an Ipod and a Galaxy S4 both of them have the"Cloud" App installed for about two years. It has never worked properly despite talking to WD Tech Support for hours… My devices can access the files (pictures mainly) in the WD MBL device, however, this ONLY happens when they are connected locally directly to my home Router (I’ve got two routers). These devices cannot access pictures when connected to my other router - not even mentioning remotely via internet…

I will appreciate anyone providing advice on how to resolve this…
Thanks

Why do you have multiple routers? That may very well have something to do with it…

Hi…I’ve got one access point (router) in the basement and another in the second floor.
The main one is from my ISP (Bell Canada), the WD NAS is connected to this one.
The second router should have nothing to do with this issue as devices are supposed to access the WD MBL NAS from anywhere in the World…

Try the solutions in this KBA, One of them should resolve the issue.

It most certainly can have something to do with it if you’re not routing those independent subnets to the correct endpoints.

Is your “Second” router actually ROUTING, or is it configured and connected solely as an access point?
