Hi,

I have Mybook live 3TB. I have successfully used it for quite a long time without any problems. I rearranged my home network a few days ago and since then I cannot see my photos with My Photos application on Android tab anymore. I am sure that my network is ok, I can access MyBookLive remotely with my PC using WD 2 go page and I can also use WD 2go application to browse files on MybookLive. All works fine except WD Photos application. With it I can successfully add my device but when I try to open it, I see on-going process “First time setup” which ends at 86% with an error message “Unable to access device”. Interesting fact is that I can upload photos from my tab to MybookLive with WD photos application, so those two devices can “see” eachother. I have tried many things, I rebooted drive, switched remote access off and on, rebuilt database but nothing seemed to help. Can anyone give me the suggestion what to do to solve my problem?

And yes, I have the latest firmware installed.

Do you connect over WLAN of your home network WLAN router or over mobile data connection with your Android to the MBL?

Try to delete all App data from “WD Photos” App (settings->Apps->WD Photos->delete data), generate a new mobile access code in MBL (delete the old one) and reenter it to the Android App “WD Photos”. If this don’t help, try to uninstall and reinstall “WD photos” on your Android device.

If you have many, many photos stored on the MBL, you have to wait a time, till all preview pictures in the “WD photos” App are created and displayed.

Thank you for answering! No matter which king of connection I use, the result is the same. I have already done all that you suggested but nothing really helped. I suspect that something is wrong with database on hardrive but cannot figure out what. I believe the last option will be to backup Mybooklive, reset it to factory settings and start all over again.
