MyCloud has created hidden shares

Hi there
I have an issue: My MyCloud has created some shares. I can see these when I connect via FTP and SMB but not on my dashboard or WD app. One of them is called “IMM” and this used to be a folder inside one of my shares.

I have tried deleting them through FTP, as I cannot see them on the dashboard or through the WD app but with no luck. I have then tried to create a share called “IMM”, but -I get the message that this share already exists. This is really frustrating, as these shares are confusing.

I have talked to WD support, but no surprise, they just told me to make a full reset. I am not interested in this, as this will require a lot of work and I will need to buy additional hard drives to back up everything.

I hope one of you can help.

That’s confusing. If “IMM” is a folder inside a share, it’s not a share itself.

Hi Tony. Yes it is very confusing. The folder “IMM”, which was in one of the shares has been deleted as I no longer needed it. I do not know why my MyCloud has created a share with the same name.
