Hi,

Im new to MyCloud home and dont really know what im doing.
I used to have a My Cloud 2TB which a friend connected up for me and i could stream movies through my Xbox One through the Media Player app.

Now i have got a My Cloud Home and trying to set it up but its not showing on the Media player. What am i doing wrong? or do I have to use Plex. I’ve set up Plex but its very poor quality image.

Can someone please help??

On Xbox One there’s the Plex app. You can adjust the quality in Plex apps.

You can also configure the Plex Server to support DLNA if you prefer. In MyCloud click “Do More”, then click on Plex, and then “Configure”. On the Plex webpage that opens, the “Settings” icon is on the top-right of the page. Click it and scroll down to “DLNA” on the left menu.
