MyCloud Mirror no longer mounts in windows since firmware update

Hi,

I’ve had a MyCloud mirror 8tb for a month now, and it ran fine until the firmware update.  Now, I can no longer mount network drives or browse the NAS with Windows.  I can access the admin page, and it says everything is OK, and I also can connect to the NAS with the MyCloud apps in IOS.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Is this that it no longer appears under the network list in Windows Explorer?

What happens if you type \MyCloudMirror (or whatever your MCM is named), or \ (as in \192.168.x.y or similar, with x and y replaced by the MCM IP address)? Does it appear then and become accessible?

No, I see it, right next to my older mycloud.  I just cannot browse into it with explorer or map drives.  Can’t \mycloud either, since that is just using explorer.  I can, however, use the mycloud app on the same computers to access it (8.1 and 10), so it’s not a network issue.  I looks for some sort of SMB settings, thinking it used that to connect to windows, but all it has are basic windows discovery and workgroup settings.

This sounds like a permissions issue or something.

I recommend contacting technical support, maybe they know something about the quirks of OS3 that we don’t.

If you create a new share, does that become visible and accessible (make a public one)?

Indeed is the public share accessible?

Which version of Windows are you trying to access the MCM from?

Same problem here since last firmware update

We have passed this along to WD Support.
