Need Help With VOB File Setup:

I got my WDTV Live Plus Monday and set it up just fine and all was well. I ripped a dvd and the vob files worked like a champ to test it before I ripped any more. Went to bed and got up and it would not locate the vob files and I still can’t get it working. I tried a file on a USB Dongle just a while ago in the USB port 1 and it found and played it but I still can’t find my files when I try to stream from my computer. I’m using Win 7 and have a CAT6 cable running into my bedroom.

Like I said it worked great when I first installed it but not now. I used the USB to see if it would still read the VOB file and it did so I got something messed up with my computer.

I have set all my permissions but still nothing. I’m not sure what DIR to place the files in.

I failed to say I can get my music and photos fine, just not the video.

If you’re using Media Server it won’t work unless your server will stream .vob files.

If you’re using Network Shares, the folder they’re in must have the proper permissions.

I’m using Network Shares and am signed on as the ADMIN. I’m the only one here so I think that would be ok? If it’s not, would you please let me know what the premissions should be?
