Netflix hd viewing question

Hi everybody, my apoligies if this has already been covered i did a search and didnt come up with anything.

I have a wd live tv plus connected to a 1080p capable tv and i am only viewing netflix videos at 480p can these videos be played at a higher format such as 720p? or even 1080p? If so what setting should i look to change?

edit: also through searching the forum i found searching within netflix is not yet supported is there plans for this to come in the future?

The WDTV will display the movies in their native resolution.   If they’re 480, they’re going to be played “Upscaled” to 1080 (if that’s what you set the device to), but that just means fatter pixels to fill in the room.   

NetFlix provides the UI to WDTV.   I’ve heard that the latest of the NetFlix API’s support searching, but we’ll have to wait for WD to swap it out.
