Help…
Through my PC, I connect to the hub, create a folder named Movies, copy movie files to the hub’s Movies folder.
Then I turn on my TV, select source WDTV Live Hub (through HDMI), but cannot find the “Movies” folder.
What should I do to resync the internal Hub’s disk?
Very much appreciated…
Try to power the box down completely and reboot it.
I’ll give it a try tonight.
Thank’s…
Well, I shut it down completely, even disconnected the power supply to make sure it’s not on stand-by mode.
That folder is still missing. Only after a total reset of the hub, that folder then shows up.
WD should update the firmware to allow users to sync the hub on demand…
What do you mean by “Total Reset?”
You navigate to Setup → System → Reset to default factory.
Well, that’s what I thought you meant. Eeek.
Hrm, no, you should NEVER, EVER have to do that just to update the media.
Next time, try this:
1-> Go to the FILES section and set the source the same as you’re using for VIDEOS. See if the files show there.
2-> If SO, then go into setup / system and clear the MEDIA LIBRARY.
I DID go to the Files section → Source Local Storage. I couldn’t see the new folder.
