No signal to TV from my brand new WDTV

When connected & powered up my WDTV does not send a signal to the TV. I have tried both HDMI & AV but same result - nothing. This is a replacement WDTV since the one I purchased 2 weeks ago worked for a few days then suddenly stopped working (same thing: “no signal”). I’m pretty disappointed since this was a present for my mother.

I have studied the user manuals but to no avail. Can you please help me with a solution? Thanks WD Community, PB5

It’s sounding like a connection or cable problem since you’ve said you’ve had TWO devices fail in an identical manner.

Video Output failure isn’t common, which makes me think it’s something downstream.

Check all your cables, try different TV, etc.
