Organizing files manually between Live Hub and an additional hard drive

I like to organize my files manually on my Live Hub, so I have the “Media Library” set to off. This way I can organize things by folder (Movies, TV Shows, Miniseries, etc.). Unfortunately, I have almost filled up the 1 tb that comes with the Live Hub (I also use it for backing up my computer) and I am considering buying a second hard drive for additional space. Here is my concern:

Is there any way to store my media across both the hard drives, while still maintaining my own folder structure? I really like the way I have things organized and I will do anything to preserve that.

To be honest, I’m not even sure if this will even be a problem or not, but I want to be certain before I fork over the cash for another hard drive. Any help will be hugely appreciated.

this should work… I don’t see why it won’t

remember that now the media will be in two drives therefore you will specify which of the two drives you are going to search for content…

but again as far as organizing the files it should not be a problem.

You can do that folder structure separately between the drives. But, if what you mean is you want to see the files in the different drives as one and on the same folder, then no. That will not work.

If you use the Media Library it will combine files from different locations into one listing.  If you don’t like the way that the Media Library displays the files you can use folder view. Or turn the Media Library off. It’s worth trying the Library first though.

To My Knowledge whether you use media library or not it will show up under videos as 2 separate drives so if you have Tv shows on the hubs hard drive and tv shows on the other hard drive they will be separate. even in folder view or sort by folders it will show separate. There are work arounds you could do things by genre or another way would be playlists. Hope this helps

Actually, I may have come up with an elegant (in my opinion) solution. I will just keep my TV shows on the live hub and place all my movies on the new hard drive, and hopefully this will allow me to have all my movies and all my tv shows each in a single folder. I hope something like that is helpful for other people who might have the same problem, and also thanks to everyone else who responded here.
