Can I uset the WD Passport Essential SE (1TB) like another hard drive and just copy files directly onto to it from My Computer or the command prompt? Was hoping to use it as extra “storage” as well as to back up my PC(s).
Can I connect it to another PC and back the hard drive onto it as well?
If they are both Windows it shouldn’t be a problem. If it’s Windows and Mac then you will have to use another type of format. Remember never trust important data to just one physical drive internal or external.
