I have installed My Passport Essential SE and is doing automatic back-ups fine. I would howefer like to use it as an extra storage device not just a back-up. how do I add folders and be able to add files to them from both my computer and others?
That is a poor idea unless you have that data copied in a second location. You need at least 2 copies to be safe. Get a second drive so you can copy that data on 2 different drives before removing the data from your PC. The forum is full of people who did what you want to do then had a problem with the drive and lost their data. One copy is not a backup.
