Permissions problem

hi 

i can’t access my share after setting permissions.

i turn off the public access and set user permissions, now i can’t access the share

any suggestions?

Ok, what happens?

i get network error:

windows cannot access \wdmycloud

you do not have permissions to access …

i try to remap network drive with other credentials but still cannot access the share 

if i set the share as public i can access any share i want

Open up a CMD window as administrator.

Execute the command 

net use * /delete

now try to access your private share.

There for sure is some problem with permissions.

As long as FTP service is disabled SMB share is working OK, but as soon as FTP service is enabled I have the same problem as described.

I don’t have permission to access folders that are set for public or to specific user.

Funny thing is that some are accesable and some are not.

After FTP service is disabled again all folders are accessible.

Why is that so?
