Photos Automatic Upload & 'Dropbox' like Sync

I have 2 questions:

  1. I’ve just change from Andriod to iPhone 6. When I was using Andriod, WD Photos allows me to automatically upload my photos to MyCloud, but iPhone 6 doesn’t. It seems that I have to manually upload, how about automatically? Can you please help?

  2. When I bought by WD MyCloud Mirror last year, I was told by the Technical Support Manager (Singapore) that an App will be available by end of last year, to allow the MyCloud Mirror to be 'Dropbox’like. This means multiple devices can access to the same file in MyClould Mirror, and yet also store a copy of the same file in the local device. Any changes will be sync automatically to the MyCloud Mirror. Can you please confirm when this will be available?

Thanks

Hi there and welcome to the WD community.

I don’t have this information. I recommend contacting support for further assistance on this matter:

I don’t know why but it seems, WD isn’t going to put effort into the autosync-feature…

My solution is:

photosync - 2,99 €/$ in the apple appstore (the android app is free, but different an not recommendable imo).

enable ftp on WD system->network and in the “users” (?)-screen (I don’t really remember, but you have to enable it on 2 configure-sites)

set up the ftp on photosync:

ip or wd-mycloud name

port 21

login

pw

folder - > leave empty

after this, you can setup the autosync function, choose a specific folder, subfolders (year, month…), filenames (!perfect!).

Tadaa! I’m happy with that now!
