Problem with mkvs

I just bought one of these Hubs today and have been testing it all day. It appeared to be working perfectly until this evening when it suddenly decided to stop playing large movie mkvs (4.5Gb+) stored on my Windows 7 box. Now these have been playing perfectly all day and only just this evening it stops.  It still plays smaller TV show mkvs (1-1.5Gb) fine (also streaming on Gigabit net) but has a problem with the larger ones.

They would appear to start … for a few seconds … then it would suddenly stop and exit back to the synopsis screen. This happens with ALL movie mkvs I have, not just the odd one. Turning off / on doesn’t help. Turning Media Library off doesn’t help. Turning subtitles off/on doesn’t help.

I’m going to leave it switched off this evening and see what its like in the morning, but if its the same its going back to the shop.

Has anyone else experienced these problems? Do you have any solution to it?

I look forward to any and all responses. Thanks in advance for your help.

What program, and what settings are you using to make your Matroska files?

Mistraal, you are Canadian, eh? Have you tried a HARD powrr off? No, ihave not had any problems at all with MKVs on mine…

Heh, no I’m not Canadian. I live in Spain.

Anyways, found what the problem was. The external USB drive that I had the movies stored on it somehow lost its connection with the PC therefore rendering all files on it unreadable. Dunno how the Hub managed to read a few seconds but there it is. A disconnect/reconnect of the USB drive and all is hunk dory again.

Thanks for your responses. Much appreciated.

Oh! Ok, I didn’t realize they selling those outside of north America yet.
