I’m encountering an issue with my WD My Cloud (EX2 Ultra) after a recent firmware update. Everything was working fine until the update, but now I’m facing problems with remote access and syncing files. I’ve used the WD My Cloud app and the web interface, but I can no longer connect to the device remotely. It works fine on my local network, but the moment I try accessing it from outside my home network, it fails to establish a connection.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Restarted both the WD My Cloud and my router.
- Verified that UPnP is enabled on my router.
- Port forwarding is set for ports 80 and 443.
- Disabled and re-enabled Cloud Access in the device settings.
- Reinstalled the My Cloud mobile app.
I’ve also made sure my firmware is up to date (currently on version 5.x.x). Despite all this, remote access remains non-functional.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues post-firmware update? Could this be a port or firewall issue on my ISP’s end, or is there something else I might be overlooking? Any advice on specific settings to check or snowflake steps to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
