Question regarding Private/Public Folder

Ive been storing all my movies in a private folder. Ive decided I want all my movies in a public folder for easier access by others if need be.

Is there a way I can have them in both places without using up the space? Or would I need to move the files from the private to the public?

you could set the current folder to public.

If you store them in 2 shares it will use tweice the space and provide no advantage.

how are other people going to access these files? If it is through a DLNA device then set the share to media servering and anyone on the home LAN has access as DLNA does not have any security
