RAID 1 rebuild

Hi,

I have a WD MyCloudEX2Ultra and I have been operating it as a RAID 1 mirror.
Volume 2 of the disk has failed (bad).

Through an RMA I have received a new device and I wanted to retrieve the data from Volume 1 and copy them into one of the newly received volumes.

How do I do that without losing the data on Volume 1?

Thanks!

First, to make sure, you mean Disk and not Volume?

Did they replace the entire MyCloud or send you a replacement hard drive?

If only the hard drive, you simply replace the bad one with the good and the MyCloud will start rebuilding the mirror. Consult the product guide for the procedure to replace the drive.

Yes I mean disk, and basically have received a totally new MyCloud since we dont know what caused the bad disk in my old MyCloud.
When I place the old disk in the new MyCLoud it looks as if the manual rebuild is set to happen from the new disk to the old rather than the other way arround.
How do I make sure this does not happen? Is there a way for me to check that the mirrored data in my old disk are there and intact?
thanks!
