Sony BDP-S190 Blu Ray does not support my WD 2TD external hd

As stated the Sony gives the message"Hard drive not supported". My Seagate 1TB external hd works perfectly with the Sony. Both are formatted in NTFS.
The WD 2TB works on both desk- and laptop.
Please advise, or have I just lost my money?

I must correct myself. The message reads “… unknown device”. Does it make any difference to my problem?

Could be a capacity issue.

Have you check with the Blue ray manufacturer to see if your device supports a 2TB external drive?

I’m trying to contact them. I even partitioned the external drive to reduce size but nothing helped.

In answer to your e-mail the answer is yes, The drive work 100% on both my laptop and my derktop.
