Sony Bravia TVs only support streamed MPEG-2 video.
Can the WDLTV Hub transcode DivX movies as it streams them to such a Sony Bravia TV?
Or is the WDLTV Hub restricted to streaming only MPEG-2 content?

The WDTV will stream just about anything except DVD ISOs.
The WDTV won’t transcode.
The problem is your Sony TV.
The hub can stream many different formats (containers/codecs). However the client (in this case your TV) has to be able to decode and play the particular container/codec format. The CPU in the hub does not have enough horsepower to do video transcoding.
