Streaming to the tv

hi people,

 this is probably me being a computer ■■■■■■■

I’ve got a WD TV live and want to stream from my laptop to the tv, so on the tv menu I go to network shares and it see’s my laptop and then brings up a Sign in screen asking for my ACCOUNT and PASSWORD, now I’ve tried the nomal default ones and other ones connected to my laptop but no joy

if anyone knows what I’m doing wrong please help

I had this and used the same username/password that I logon to my PC with, try using your PC logon name without a password, assuming you havnt set one up. Failing that have a look at this video:
