Suddenly I lost access to my EX2Ultra

I’ve accessed it today, but now I can’t access it, can’t access the dashboard, the Apps (Transmission), on os5.mycloud.com it says is offline and //mycloudex2ultra/ can’t be accessed. I’ve tried a “4 seconds” reboot with no success.

In the dashboard of the router the EX2Ultra appears connected but with a IPv4 outside the range, 169.254.128.251, the former IP was 192.168.1.97.

What iam I doing wrong and how can I access it?

So - - - I am presuming a standard router setup; and you don’t have anything weird like a double NAT (a router plugged into a router) or trying to do this over the internet

In general, the 4 second reset wipes the admin password; and resets the device to DHCP.

My Cloud OS 3 Pin Reset and System Only Restore a Single Bay My Cloud Device (wd.com)

(The above link is for a mycloud on OS3; but it will work the same on a OS5 Ex2Ultra)

Can you GET to the dashboard? From a web browser, type \\169.254.128.251. . . .(Or is it //169.254.128.21? I forget). Once there, user name = admin. Password = leave blank.

You should also check the router settings. Is the router set for DHCP? Do you have a manual setting for the router to manually assign an IP address (i.e. whenever the device hooks up - - -the router will always have the same IP address ready and waiting).

Thanks for the help, I tried every method to access the Dashboard without success, then I rebooted the router and I regained all access.
