Syncing a second WD NAS device at home

I have the EX2100 at work and wanted to purchase a second one to place at home. What would be ideal is to have both units sync so that I could use it for working at home and have all the files local through the LAN - then it would automatically sync with the NAS at work. (and also act as a backup)

  1. Is this currently possible?
  2. Could anyone from WD comment as to whether this feature could appear in the near future?

I understand there is a remote backup feature, but I doubt it does what I’m looking for above.

I’m considering doing something similar only with a single drive My Cloud at the other location to be used as an off-site backup. If you learn anything please post it and I will do the same.

Update: I’ve just ordered the DL2100 and would like to setup offsite backup.
What’s the best way to set this up locally first - link the 2 machines together and do a backup before I set it up remotely (to save having to spend days/weeks transferring terabytes over the internet)?
