Movies that I have in the HUB (avi, mkv, mp4 and others) are not read by the WD TV Live Hub since yesterday.
I only have video files and the firmware is 3.12.13 and the HUB always worked well. Whenever I try to upload any file, the HUB attempts to read such file but can not. The only way I find is return to the Main Menu.
What I did so far:
1). Replace the HDMI cable.
2). Replace the HDMI input of the TV. Was HDMI 1 and I tried 2 and 3 without success.
3). I checked the HUB and the network connection on my computer and was working fine.
4). All Hub files are read by the PC via network cable.
Hello, have you tried previously know good video files? Have you tried resetting the WD TV?, I had a Hub for a long time and whenever was acting up I would reset the device and it would work perfectly after.
WDTV Live Hub I use for many years and always with video files, with almost all movies.
As for your idea to reset the WDTV, unfortunately I do not know how to do it. This option will keep the files I have? How can I do this reset?
Grateful for the help …
This would not delete the information that you have on the media player, you can reset by pressing the reset button of the unit or you can do it in the settings section, please take a look at the manual for information, at the end of the page.
Thank you for your information. I assume the correct would be one of these two options:
Reset All Settings Back to Factory Default - restores all media center system
preferences and playback settings to factory default values. This may correct
problems caused by the failed firmware upgrade or faulty configuration settings.
Reset All Settings Except Online Service Accounts - restores all media center
system preferences and playback settings to their default factory values with the
exception of your internet Services personal account information.
The first option would be my view the more correct, to restore the WDTV its factory version. Later I can set up the way I always used.
