Transfer files from old MyCloud to new MyCloud

Is there a way to quickly transfer data (3.8TB) from my old drive to my new drive.
The old drive is a WD My Cloud G1 single drive and the new drive is a G2 mirror.
I am trying to use windows copy and paste for data but this is relatively slow and wifi speeds are restricted to 450mbps.
I thought the old MyCloud desktop app transferred data directly over network without the PC being included.

Any help much appreciated

Hello Peterf1,

WD My Cloud desktop app don’t have the feature of transferring data between two my cloud devices at same location. You would need to transfer data manually only between both of the my cloud devices.

However, you can perform a Safe point backup from your WD My Cloud Gen1 to My Cloud Mirror Gen 2. Safepoints can be written to another My Cloud on the same network. A Safepoint backup is a snapshot of the data on your drive at a specific point in time. In the unlikely event your WD My Cloud fails, you can restore your content from a safepoint. You can create a safepoint backup either on a USB device connected to WD My cloud or a compatible device on your computer.

You can follow the below link to know how can you setup safepoint backup:
