After months, our shipment of household goods finally arrive and I’ve tried to connect my MBL to my Mac and resume backups with Time Machine. Before we moved the MBL and TM worked pretty seamlessly. Now it can’t even find it. I’ve plugged the MBL into our new wifi router, expecting that it would then happily shake hands with the Mac and begin backing up, but I get this message:
“Time Machine couldn’t complete the backup to “MyBookLive”.
The backup disk could not be found. Make sure the backup disk is connected or select a different backup disk.
Latest successful backup: 20 November 2017”
Any suggestions as to what I’m doing wrong. So far, I’ve tried a new ethernet cable to connect to the router and turning all on and off again and rebooting. I ran LAN SCAN to see if the MBL appears and it doesn’t. Currently the LED on the front is solid blue.
I’m running the latest OS, so am assuming that guidelines about switching from SMB to AFP are no longer a potential solution.
Any suggestions on how to fix would be appreciated!
