Unable to copy files over 400 MB from PC to My Cloud Home using Desktop app

I looked and couldn’t find anything like the issue I’m having.

I have a My Cloud Home 4 TB drive and I cannot copy anything to it larger than ~400MB using the desktop App.

It has mapped the drive as “Z” and it makes no difference if I access it through Windows Explorer, the shortcut it made on my desktop or the WD Discovery widget in the system tray

I get a “Destination Folder Access Denied You need permission to perform this action” error message.

Smaller files work fine.

The My Cloud Web tool works fine.

I’m running Windows 10, and it’s up to date.

I can unzip files larger than 400 MB directly to the cloud, and I have windows backing up to the drive and I know it’s backed up files larger than 400 MB.

I can copy files over 400 MB from My Cloud Home to my PC with the app.

When I right click on any folder on MY Cloud Home drive, and check properties, I don’t see a security tab, so I can’t verify permissions, however, I would think that if I didn’t have permissions, the size of the file wouldn’t matter.

Any ideas?

@O_P_T I’m able to transfer 12 GB files with no issue.
Do you have any 3rd party Anti Virus, Internet Security, Trend Micro or End Point Protection Software installed that could view data transfer from a local to a network mounted drive as a possible threat and block it??

Good call.

I have Trend Micro Internet Security (Version 12.0.1226) and when I disabled it I was able to copy a ~500 MB program fine.

I poked around the control panel for the software and tried a few things, but the only thing that looked like a possible setting that could make a difference was an exemption folder. I applied that to the “Z” drive, but it didn’t make a difference.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this or do I need to ask Trend Micro?

Thanks for your help.
