Welcome to the forums.
I’m not sure what a “WD streamer” is – this is the forum for the WD Live Media Player. But assuming you’re talking about that, how were you connecting? If via HDMI, then you might try connecting via composite and changing the HDMI resolution from “auto” to whatever your TV supports.
Thank for answering so fast. yes i meant to live media player. sorry for ignorant but what do you mean by saying try to connect via composite.?
and changing the HDMI resolution is something i need to do from my TV ?
thanks.
By default the HDMI output is set to “auto” and on some TVs the handshaking necessary doesn’t take place. In order to correct this, you can try changing the resolution to one which your TV supports. However, you need to be able to see the menu (and audio/video settings) to do this.
So connect your TV up via composite or component inputs and then you can adjust the HDMI input. (The composite and component cables came with the Live, and your TV will have one or the other or both as alternative inputs).
