WD Elements can't see and read the SRT in MKV files

Hello,

I have just bought a WD 1T Elements in order to be able to watch mkv formats with subs. I copied from my pc to the wd device 10 mkv files and 10 srt files with the same name (except for extension) . That is the standard way to load and read the subs and is perfectly working in pc by VLC or in my tv by popcorn hour.

In WD Elemnts is NOT WORKING! Why? is there any way to fix it? Patch…options…

Did you try pressing the OPTION button? The EP won’t show subs until you do.

Of course i tried and chose italian sub, but nothing seems to change. Wd seems not to even see that in the folder there are the subs…unfortunately i don’t have it now here the device. I will try if it has the same problem with sub associated to avi as well

If you chose ITALIAN SUBS from the OPTION menu, then the Elements Play *DOES* see the subtitles.
