WD EX2 backing up

Hi,
In need of some help:
Simply I have a Mac with a EXTERNAL hdd attached , i now have my WD EX2 and simply want to make a backup of my EXT HDD to the WD .I want this to regular scan for anything i have added and automatically update the WD drive

how on earth do i do this is lamens terms

I believe that you can user the WD Sync to backup the external drive connected to the Mac.

I use mac mini and PC both but I find it better for me if I just use a second USB WD mybook connected to the EX2 and add the USB as share so I can see all drives.

We need more options on USB backups - you have to manual start them and do not push the RESTORE button by mistake.

PS the user interface is very hard to use over an iPad ie like trying to press the backup button

Do you have to be connected to the internet for wd sync?
