WD Live Not showing all files in folders

Hiya,

I eagerly unpacked my WD TV Live yesterday and plugged it into my TV and network.

I have a media server located on my network with all my films on.  For some reason only a handfull of films in each folder are being listed on the WD TV listings?  All of the films are the same format which is supported by WD.

In each folder there are maybe 100 films, WD picks up a few but not all of them.  I am able to find lots of comments about it online but no answers!!

I have updated it to the current firmware version.

Any advice would be most welcome!!

Are you using a Media Server, or connecting via Network Shares?

BTW, your post is probably in the wrong forum. This forum is for the 2009 model WDTV Live HD and 2010 model WDTV Live Plus.

Try connecting via network shares. Media servers do not show all files.

Hiya.

I have done as instructed, I set the 3 separate drives up in the Network shares but it still only shows some of the files.

The files are all the same type I can’t understand why it only shows a few of them?
