WD MyCloud 2TB Safepoint

Hi,

I’m trying to create a safepoint on a 2TB Seagate Expansion drive connected via USB to my MyCloud 2TB; however, I get the following error message:

  • This safepoint operation failed due to an invalid request. (402007)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Badders, check if you have the latest My Cloud firmware update, if you are using a USB powered hard drive, be sure to connect it directly to the My Cloud USB port, avoid using USB extension cables or non powered USB hubs.

I get this message occaisionally but it usually goes through ok the next time it updates or if you do a manual update.

No joy, firmware is up to date and have tried to manually create the safepoint unsuccessfully.

Any other ideas?
