Searched the forums and when a relevant thread was located, the thread was closed and could not post so need to create a new thread.
In short, need to access files on the MyCloud directly through the iPad…from a given app. To be clear this does ‘not’ mean using an ‘open in’ function from a 3rd party application. Need to be working on ONE file that resides on the WD MyCloud, where the file is not only read but also saved directly back; no multiple copies etc.
Not sure why I presumed this use case would have been included and an easy means to set up would have been included in the software. From what I am reading it requires opening ports on the router (Apple Time Capsule), might need its own dedicated dynamic ip solution which then starts to defeat the entire purchase of this solution and investment.
Anyone out there have a WebDav working on their WD MyCloud where the iPad can read & write to the same file ~ preferably through an Apple Time Capsule? I am not an ip guy so the port forwarding configurations become cumbersome.
